How do i use my moms ebay account to sell my items?
I am 16, which is not old enough to sell items on ebay, so I was planning on using my moms account. Before my mom agrees to this, she wants to know if after I sell something, is the percentage of the profit that Ebay takes from the sold item taken out of her paypal account? I would repay her for any of the money that is taken out of her paypal account. Would using my moms account be difficult? And is there anything else I need to know about doing this?

I suggest you read ebays selling tutorials see the site map or http://pages.ebay.com.au/education/learn-to-sell-basics.html (pn this is the Australian site but the processes would be the same)
there is also info re ebays selling fees – worth a read.

How do I upgrade my seller account on Ebay to sell items worldwide?
I have been selling items on Ebay for almost a year and I enjoy it very much. I am from the UK and I am currently posting items to the UK and Ireland but I want to upgrade my account to be an ebay international seller. I would post items worldwide so that the items I’m selling would be found in other countries in their search results, for eg on Ebay.com. but I don’t know how to change this on my current Ebay account as at the moment it just says I will send items to UK and Ireland. Any ideas?

On the sell your item form, when you get to shipping you can offer shipping world wide. In turbo Lister, it’s in the shipping options
I am in the USA and There are three ways that buyers in other countries can see my listings:
When I list my item, all I have to do is select international shipping and my listing will be viewable on both the domestic eBay site and the Global Buying Hub.
Include your listing on each individual eBay country site in addition to your regular sites (for me is eBay.com in the U.S.)
List your items for sale directly on eBay sites in countries around the world. For example, to sell in the United States, you’d list on ebay.com (link is below)
You’ll need to meet the selling requirements and pay the fees for each country’s site.
Requirements for selling internationally
To make items available to buyers in other countries, you might need to be ID Verified.
Review the Prohibited Articles list prior to specifying international shipping to familiarize yourself with import and export restrictions. Whenever you sell to buyers in various countries, make sure that you comply with the international trading laws in those countries.
You also need to specify shipping worldwide, or to the individual countries or regions where you’re willing to sell.
Communicating with buyers
Selling to buyers in various countries can mean answering emails at unusual times because of time differences.
If you don’t speak the same language as a potential buyer, you might want to use translation software to translate key phrases. Some translation services are available for free on the Internet. Many are not 100% accurate, however, and eBay cannot guarantee their services. If you use such a service, provide simple, grammatically correct phrases free of abbreviations to make translations more understandable.
Currencies
Bids and prices on a listing automatically appear in both the currency you specify and the currency for the site from which the buyer is viewing the item.
Bids and prices on a listing automatically appear in both the currency you specify and the currency that’s typically used for the country site on which the buyer is viewing the item. (Note that equivalence is approximate.)
To sell globally, you’ll need to accept PayPal as a method of payment. In most countries, sellers should be PayPal Verified. In Germany and Switzerland, the verification process is PostIdent.
Shipping internationally
eBay recommends that you specify a shipping service and cost because items with this information attract more buyers. Some considerations when shipping internationally are:
Shipping costs: Costs to ship to other countries can vary greatly depending on the distance and shipping methods. Most sellers specify that buyers pay the shipping costs for international sales.
Insurance: They recommend that you insure any packages being shipped internationally. Check with your carrier to find out whether they provide automatic coverage.
Customs and documentation : All internationally shipped packages must clear customs in the destination country, and you’ll need to complete the appropriate customs forms.
There are three ways to list your items internationally.
Use the international site visibility option You can purchase this listing upgrade for some eBay sites, to maximize your item’s visibility in search results on those sites. If you’re eligible for this upgrade, you’ll have the option to add it on the “Review your listing” page before you submit your listing. There’s a separate fee for each country you choose.
List an item on another country’s eBay site
1. Go to ebay.com (link is below)
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the link for the country where you want to list your item. You’ll be taken to that country’s eBay home page automatically.
3 Click Sell at the top of the page, and follow the “List your item for sale” form.
List an item on multiple country sites using the Global Buying Hub (global.ebay.com)
1. Go to ebay.com (link is below)
2. Click Sell at the top of the page.
3. On the “Choose a listing form” page, in the “sell your item form,” select More listing choices (long form).
4. On the Create your listing page, scroll to the “Give buyers shipping details” section and click Add or remove options.
5. Under “International shipping,” select Show international services and options. Click Save.
6. Under “International Shipping,” select one of these shipping cost options from the drop-down menu:
* Flat: Same cost to all buyers
* Calculated: Cost varies according to buyer location
7. From the “Ship to” drop-down menu, select Choose custom location.
8. Select the regions to which you’re willing to ship. You can select as many as you like.

How do you sell items on ebay or amazon?
i wanted to sell some items that i don’t want any more through amazon or ebay how does it work? how do i receive money on an item that i’ve sold or how would i ship some thing? who pays for it? do i need abank account? i would really appreciate some help thank you.

admin answers:
I have only used Ebay. All you need to do is set up an account and click the “sell” tab. It ask you a bunch of questions. You need to download a picture. You can collect checks, money orders or paypal. Paypal is the best because you don’t have to worry about bad checks or waiting on funds in the mail. They charge a percentage but its worth it. Paypal transfers to your bank account. Ebay also charges a small fee. If you are going to use paypal you need a bank account.

George asks…
Do you need paypal to sell items on Ebay?
I want to start selling items on Ebay (sports tickets) and I was wondering if paypal is the only option for payments? Is it 100 % secure? I know thousands, probably millions, use paypal and never have problems but I’m a little skeptical with the wiring of money through credit cards. Also, how does the shipping work with Ebay? Is the seller responsible for paying for shipping? Is it easier to sell tickets on broker sites or Ebay?
Also, does Ebay get a percent commission on items sold, and if so, how much?
Thanks everyone!

admin answers:
No – you do not need Paypal to sell on eBay, but your sales will be significantly slower (e.g. have to wait in the mail for checks & money orders to arrive & clear). I am an eBay buyer and the seller taking Paypal is one of the first things I look out when considering an item. I do not buy otherwise.
I have never had a problem with Paypal. It isn’t just credit cards…it directly debits your checking account if that is the method chosen.
Shipping through eBay is whatever you want it to be. You charge what you want. Either put a weight into your listing or put a flat shipping dollar amount. It is your choice.
No, the buyer pays for shipping per the seller’s listing. Some sellers overcharge for shipping to make up the different in what they hoped to get for th item. For example, you could charge $8 shipping for a pair of sports ticket that could ship for $1. You’ve just made $7 more than you would have otherwise.
No idea about the question where it is easier to sell tickets.
Yes, eBay (and Paypal) both get a percentage of your sale. Paypal, obviously, only if you use them. eBay gets a listing fee. For me, it is normally around 60 cents. Then they get a percentage of the final sale amount as well. I forget how much it is, but it is all on their site.

Paul asks…
I want to sell items on Ebay how do I estimate shipping?
I want to sell items on Ebay but I don’t want to run to the post office to weigh items before I list and pack them. Is there any way I can estimate the shipping at home?

admin answers:
1 – Buy an inexpensive weighing scale
2 – Put the items in its packaging and determine actual weight of the item
3 – Use the shipping calculator of eBay putting in the info of item weight and handling costs
