Carol asks…

I want to sell some of my things on Ebay, Is this easy and free?

I’m gathering things around my home that I want to get rid of, because I am moving soon and thought maybe I could sell on Ebay. Is this easy and free to sell things on ebay, or does anyone have any better suggestions on how to get rid of these things as I want to be rid of them by the time Im moving out.

admin answers:

Try Craigslist, because you can sell locally and the listing is free.

eBay charges commisions for listing and selling and then you have to ship the items by mail or UPS.

Michael asks…

Ebay buy sell for free?

Can anyone tell me how to buy and sell on Ebay for free?

admin answers:

Buying is always free.

You can’t sell for free. eBay charges listing fees even if your item doesn’t sell. (They also charge a percentage of the selling price if your item does sell.)

Jenny asks…

What company would give me merchandise FREE to sell for them on EBay Who do I contact? it has to be legit.?

How does something like this work?

“How does something like this work?”
It doesn’t work. Why would a company give you merchandise FREE to sell when they could do it directly.

If you’re thinking about drop shipping, review these comments from experienced sellers on the eBay Seller Central Discussion Board.

A risk-free, inexpensive way to get started as an eBay seller is to take five easily-mailed items from your closet you don’t want but think might sell and take a picture of each (if you don’t have a digital camera, borrow one).

Single quantity Auction-Style listings with no upgrades, just a Single picture and as long a description as you want for FREE Insertion. Set the starting bid for the lowest you’ll accept and if they don’t sell, you PAY NOTHING.

In about a month, eBay will bill you or deduct from your credit card (your choice) the Final Value fees for ONLY any of the five items that did sell.

ALWAYS include Delivery Confirmation on any sold items when you ship with the USPS (Post Office). It adds less than a $1 to the postage and is your ONLY protection against “item not received” claims.

Five plain, single item auctions a month is an easy way to get your feet wet on eBay. Do that every 30 days until you’re comfortable with eBay, PayPal and your Post Office. Start with everything that’s easily mailed and work your way from there.

Sandra asks…

Is it possible to sell an item on Ebay for free? If so, how?

I’d like to know how I can sell an item on Ebay for free? Anytime I try to sell something on there it always tried to charge me at least 00.20 cents. It’s not that I don’t have the money. I just paid off of all my credit cards and no longer have any therefore I don’t have any way of paying the 20 cents.

admin answers:

Ebay charges you listing fees which are nonrefundable and when an item sells, there is a final value fee they also charge you. You cannot sell for absolutely free on eBay. If you want to sell , you can arrange it through sellers preferences to have the billing deducted through your bank/checking account. Ebay bills once a month and only for auctions you have listed. There is no fee to have a sellers account on eBay.
